Berlie Doherty is an English novelist, playwright, children's author and poet. Writer of Street Child and Dear Nobody, and a double Carnegie medal winner.   Although a Puffin book because it is marketed as teenage fiction, Dear Nobody is a lot more grown up than much of the juvenile nonsense that passes for adult fiction these days. The only reason I can see that it is pigeon-holed as a teenage fiction is that the two main characters are year-olds — nothing else/5(30).

Edited by Gillian McCain and Legs McNeil - Dear Nobody is the diary entries of teen Mary Rose as she struggles with addiction, bullying & a deadly secret. So she writes to nobody – and when I wrote down those first two words, Dear Nobody, I knew that I had the title of my book. That is one title that has never been changed in any of the translations – sometimes it’s even published with the English words Dear Nobody.

Here is a link to a very informative blog on Dear Nobody. Dear Nobody, Tonight I got arrested. I hate saying that, but it happens. I had a 40 ounce beer in my hand and one in my book bag and I smelled like it. I was walking with my two friends, when this cop pulls up and goes, "Is something wrong?" DEAR BOY, is a companion book to author Paris Rosenthal's Dear Girl, which she wrote with her late mother, Amy Krouse Rosenthal. It is one of The Originals from Penguin - iconic, outspoken, first/5(K). From the publisher:Every word you read in this journal is the absolute, unvarnished truth. Told through Mary Rose's actual diary entries, DEAR NOBODY is a raw and gripping account of a girl that grapples with the typical angst of teen life-love, happiness, heartbreak-but also struggles with drug and alcohol addiction and a terminal illness that loom over her life.

Here is my opinion on the book Dear Nobody The True Diary of Mary Rose. Helen addresses her letters to "Dear Nobody," since so many around her who urge abortion want to convince her that what’s in her body isn’t a person.

Chris goes on a hiking trip to France, passes his A-level exams, meets a new girl who is interested in him, and prepares for university, all the time missing Helen. Directed by Juliet May. With Katie Blake, Peter Davison, Barbara Flynn, Sean Maguire/10(5).
